A FIT GAL'S GUIDE TO 7 FOOD DELIVERY SERVICES TO USE DURING QUARANTINE
With the stay at home order in place I thought I would share with you all some of my go-to services for food delivery on any given day and especially during this quarantine! I am doing my best to be healthy but its a weird time and lots of emotions going on! I will admit there has been a lot of pasta and tacos but I am running everyday to work it off! This post includes many discounts if you are a first time user of any of these apps/services so definitely take advantage! ENJOY!
I feel like for most of us Postmates is the True OG when it comes to food delivery service. My most recent Postmates deliveries included Papa John’s Pizza, Popeyes, Tocaya, and Pink Taco (LA). FitBrit is clearly turning to some comfort food during this difficult time! If you are new to Postmates click below for $100 in delivery fee credits. (Good for 7 days from the date of application.)
2. GRUBHUB
Grubhub has been my go-to for Taco Bell Delivery! During the quarantine they are offering free delivery on orders over $12 so obviously I have been taking advantage. Other recent orders include: Lemon Fish Sushi (LA) and Osteria La Buca (LA) (offering menu items as well as a select few marketplace options such as fresh pizza dough, fresh pasta, and fresh sauces including tomato and bolognese sauce). If you are a first time Grubhub user click below for $5 off your first order over $15!
3. DOORDASH
I use the app Doordash to order LA fav. Jon & Vinnys. This popular LA based restaurant can only be delivered by Doordash and the app Caviar. Other recent orders include Mel’s Diner (LA) and Chipotle. Also if you are looking for a quick cheap way to get some alcohol during this quarantine, BevMo! (LA) was recently added as a Doordash vendor AND they are offering free delivery on orders $15 or more! If you are new to Doordash click below to receive $5 OFF your first 3 orders totaling $15 or more.
4. UBER EATS
I like Uber Eats because it has a cool feature when you open the app which offers a $0 delivery fee for places that are popular for ordering in your area at that time. Every 5 minutes this feature refreshes with a new list of restaurants that are in high demand. I like this feature because sometimes it helps me just cut to the chase and decide quickly on what to order because the free delivery is such a good incentive! My recent Uber Eats orders include: Jersey Mike’s Subs, Sage Organic Vegan Bistro (LA), Fala Bar (LA), and Love Baked Wings (LA). Clearly Uber Eats offers many restaurants I enjoy! If you are a first time Uber Eats user enjoy the discount below!
Long before the quarantine, social distancing, and the stay-at-home order I was utilizing Territory Foods Meal Prep Service. The only difference at the moment is that the only option you have to receive the food is delivery since their local gym pick-up service is not available at this time due to all the gym closures. Territory Foods offers meals that are prepared by local chefs that feature all the nutritional information and facts by local nutritionists. All the ingredients are fresh and all the meals are healthy. Their website makes it easy for you to shop for meals that fall into specific dietary categories if for example you are vegan or keto. Territory Foods is offered in Los Angeles, Baltimore, New York City, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Hampton Roads Virginia, Richmond Virginia, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, the San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, the inland empire in California, Sacramento California, and Orange County California. The cost for delivery to your home is $7.95 per order. To learn more about Territory Foods check out my BLOG POST all about their service! For $25 OFF your first two orders click on the discount below (first time users only)! If you are based in LA you can place an order for 3 boost size meals (minimum required) to be delivered to you and with the discount the cost will be about $17 to try 3 meals! Now is the perfect time to try!
6. CAVIAR
I only recently found out about this app so I have not ordered using it yet. BUT I will say, I did see many of my favorite restaurants on there including CAVA (LA), Jon & Vinny’s (LA), and Prime Pizza (LA). They also offer free delivery on your first order!
7. INSTACART
If you are looking for more of a grocery delivery service as opposed to restaurant delivery then Instacart would be a great option. Instacart delivers from many local grocery stores including: Sprouts, Erewhon, Raplh’s, Smart & Final, Gelsons, Costco, CVS, Petco, Healthy Spot, BevMo!, Pavilions, Superior Grocers, Albertsons, Vons, and Target. Instacart also allows pickup orders at some of its retailers.
Happy Ordering Fit Friends,
XoXo,

P.S. It’s okay to have cheat days :)
