A FIT GAL'S FIRST OF THE MONTH ROUTINE REVEALED
Happy 1st of the month! Every 1st of the month NO MATTER WHAT I take part in a ritual I have been doing for years. I thought I would share the routine that keeps me motivated and on track every month of the year! Here we go!
THE PLANNER THAT KEEPS ME ON TRACK
Every year Popflex Active releases a brand new, beautifully designed fit planner which I use for all my goals, intention setting, and so much more! This is my personal go-to but keep in mind there are so many journals, notebooks, apps, and other ways for you to keep track of your goals and take part in a monthly routine of your own!
DECORATIONS FOR MOTIVATION
Not going to lie but I am the QUEEN of decorating my planner. Stickers help keep me motivated AND keep my planner exciting and pretty. Here are some of my favorite Fit Stickers.
RECAP THE PREVIOUS MONTH
I love that this particular planner gives me plenty of space to write down my monthly intentions. This planner already has a section set up for each monthβs recap. The categories include: What Made Me Feel Motivated This Month?, What Did I Learn?, Challenges I Survived, Something I Am Proud Of, Who Am I Grateful For, How Can I Make Next Month Even Better?, and a Notes Section. Answering these questions is a great way to check in with yourself and your goals, practice gratitude, see how far you have come, and recognize what made you most motivated. Come up with some questions of your own and answer them at the end of each month! This is a great way to reflect and not just forget about last monthβs goals. In fact, maybe you didnβt accomplish a certain goal that month and want to try again next month! For me, in March I didnβt get around to making a new bucket list so you will notice it became a goal for me in April to try and achieve!
SET NEW FOOD GOALS & FITNESS GOALS
After I take some time to recap the previous month I go to the section in my planner that is for Food Goals and Fitness Goals. Typically I will incorporate food and fitness into my monthly intentions I set but this is another place I write down these βmini goalsβ to focus on as well. My planner also offers a Habit Tracker but I personally like to keep track of any daily goals on the calendar part of my planner so it is easier for me to keep track visually! Do what works for you!
WRITE DOWN 10 MONTHLY INTENTIONS
And now for the MOST IMPORTANT part of my first of the month routine! Taking the time to myself to think of 10 new monthly intentions. I shared most of them with you just to give you some ideas. I have found that writing these goals and intentions down is so effective! I also find fun ways to keep myself motivated. This month, each day I get 10,000 steps I will mark the day with a STAR sticker! I am shooting for 30 stars this month! (30 Shooting Stars haha!) Do your best to keep these intentions realistic. For example, I know this month work will be hard to come by and certain things will need to be paid for in order to survive so I set a goal to save $500 not something unrealistic like $5,000. Adjust your goals and intentions accordingly but donβt use what is going on in the world right now (coronavirus and the quarantine) as an excuse to not be motivated and set goals! Find a routine that works for you and use all this spare time you may have to reach those goals!
Use the 1st of the month wisely!
XoXo,
Brittney
