Let me start by saying I was the girl that always said "I will NEVER do a grocery delivery service... Out of town and won't be back for the Sunday Farmer's Market? Working late, long hours on set or at the hospital? Not in the mood to fight traffic and crowds? NO WORRIES. Milk and Eggs is so easy and convenient! Most orders are fulfilled and delivered within 24 hours! My recent order was placed on a Sunday evening and arrived between 5am and 7am Tuesday morning. NOT BAD! Milk and Eggs also does not require a subscription BUT the option is there as well as the option to have recurring orders or just one-time purchases. There is also a space for special delivery instructions as well, in case you live in a gated, secure place!

At first I was skeptical to look into this service because I assumed the prices would be a rip off, considering most delivery services I feel slam you with over-priced items, a ton of fees, a shipping cost, and by then it would have been worth saving your money to just get your lazy butt in the car and go pick up your food! But I was wrong for making that assumption! The prices are EXTREMELY reasonable. In fact, most of the items I was interested in tended to be a tad bit cheaper on Milk and Eggs... especially the produce category. Many of the vegan items I ordered were same in price as Whole Foods. I noticed the almond milk I use was $1-1.50 more but no biggie... I was still able to get EVERYTHING I needed within my $50 weekly budget... which may I mention I usually ALWAYS go over because when I am in person at the store I see things and I'm like o I need to try that and OMG that looks good and LOOK strawberries are on sale, and there is a limited edition flavor of something... and I end up totally over-buying. Milk and Eggs helped me stay in control of my shopping impulses and order exactly what I needed for the week.

7. FRESH PRODUCE

My BIGGEST surprise when receiving my Milk and Eggs Delivery was the freshness of all my produce. I don't know why I was so shocked, I think because honestly I had friends who tried other delivery services who complained because they didn't like the way their produce looked when it arrived. My bananas were so fresh, along with my apples, sweet potatoes, and all my greens. And here is why. Milk and Eggs cuts out distribution centers completely and instead drives directly to the farm and gathers the goods themselves. In other words your produce is coming straight from the farm. How incredible! And just another reason why their prices stay low and reasonable. They have no middleman to pay and they don't have to pay a distribution center to store and keep the items fresh until they reach the place they are being delivered to. With that being said I will take a motto straight from their website: "Fresher foods=better health!"

Does anyone go to the store and buy a weeks worth of every meal prepared and eaten at home for less than $35? I would be shocked if you said yes, considering I am the coupon queen and by the time I make all my stops and hit the market I am pretty close to $60 on my grocery shopping day.
